September 2010 – Art Quiver

Kathleen was asked to join www.ArtQuiver.com. The completely online gallery is a master at finding new vibrant talent in the national and international art world.

August 2010 – Artists for the Animals

Kathleen is working with the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs and regional artists to raise money for the shelter’s Endowment Fund. These efforts can be seen at www.humanesociety.biz/new_endowment.htm. The project is destined for national exposure over the next five years and its progress will be highlighted here on the Steventon website.

June - July 2010 – Blue Pig Gallery Invites Steventon as Guest Artist.

The Blue Pig Gallery has extended their invitation to Kathleen to be their featured guest artist for the months of June and July 2010. The Blue Pig is located in Colorado’s wine region, in Palisade, east of Grand Junction. The artists new works will open June 1, and close on July 31, 2010. February 2010 – Kathleen Asked to Paint CD Cover for New York Reggae Artist.

Up and coming Reggae artist Lance Hopkins contracted Kathleen to paint his portrait for his first CD release slated for May 2010. The painting, titled "Lance I" was completed in one studio session in a muted color palette. Mr. Hopkin’s CD is tentatively titled "Baby". This is Kathleen’s first commission by a fellow artist. She has completed many other commissions for private patrons.

October 2009 – Kathleen’s Painting Wins National Best-in-Show Award.

Trio I, a 24 x 36" oil painting won Best-in-Show at the "Fur, Feathers, & Fins National Juried Show" sponsored by Parklane Gallery in Kirkland, WA.

June 2009 - Kathleen Invited to Join Albuquerque Gallery

Kathleen Steventon was invited to join the small and intimate Blackbird Gallery located just of the old plaza square in downtown Albuquerque. Owner Bill Bess was enthusiastically impressed with Steventon's unique style as well as the quality of her work. The Blackbird gallery represents a half dozen artists whose work is both beautiful and reasonably priced.

May 2009 - Anthony Steventon Invited to Join Online Gallery

Anthony was contacted by Matt Schenck, owner and creator of the new online gallery www.artquiver.com in May 2009. This is Steventon's first gallery and Anthony was enthused to join the charter 25 artists invited by Mr. Schenck to help create a virtual gallery of beautiful artwork. The unique ArtQuiver incorporates the latest graphic technologies to allow viewers to see the art as if they were in a virtual gallery space. Schenck was impressed with Anthony's color-vibrant work in oils and excited to be representing him in the art world.

September 2008 - Kathleen completes painting demo at gallery

Kathleen Steventon recently demonstrated for the first time her paintings techniques at Wild Spirit Gallery in downtown Pagosa Springs, CO. The four-hour painting session was documented by photojournalist Wendy Saunders, www.wendysaunders.com
